Guys, I'm prone to misplacing important things like my cellphone, house keys, train pass, cell phone and the list goes on. Most of all, I'm constantly losing my wedding rings. Don't worry, it's not a refelction of the commitment to my marriage, just a reflection of what a mess my brain is on any given day. So I thought I'd make a fun and unique new home for my rings when I'm not wearing them. This way, I'll be excited to put them in their dedicated spot and won't forget where I left them last. Or so I hope! This project was super-duper simple and I made it using items I already had lying around the house. Three cheers for reusing and being sustainable! I hear you, Environment. Supplies: Dish or some kind (I used an old plant pot dish) Paint Brushes Dinosaur (or other any other base of your choosing, really!) Glue To start, give the dish you're using a coat of white paint. Just to act as a primer that will help your main paint color pop nicely. Ain't nobody got time for multiple layers of paint. Let the primer dry and then paint a coat (or two) of your main pant color. You'll let that sit until the paint is dry and then add some adhesive to your dinosaur and attach it to your dish. And just like that you have a new, totally adorable and totally functional ring holder. Once you fine tune your skills these could make awesome personalized gifts for friends. Shoot! I kinda wish I had whipped up this idea for a bridesmaid gift back in the day.
Cheers! Susan
