My darling and (very) talented friend, Carlos, had his first pop-up shop yesterday at the uber trendy shop, Rider For Life, in Fulton Market. I'll blog about Carlos and his work soon, but today I have to gush about Rider. The shop is filled with items from various designers, all inspired by the owners (Lauren McGrady and Tom Gavin) travels together. Stocking everything from artisanal soaps, designer threads, vintage furniture and unique artwork, Rider creates a anthropologically chic atmosphere for their customers. I mean, c'mon. Don't you just want to cozy up on this incredible couch? Each item feels perfectly curated and totally accessible. It's the perfect balance between "girt and elegance" as their mission states. And I can't get enough of either elements. With so many boutiques and so little time, it's always refreshing when I stumble one that immediately grabs my attention and gets my creative juices flowing. Wether you're looking for the perfect one of a kind armchair, top, or just want to be transported to a new world, Rider is a must-see.
